So brace yourself, ’cause this post is a long one! Last weekend, my brother and his beautiful fiance drove over from Manhattan to do an engagement shoot. I’ve been wanting to shoot in the alley ways around Mass Street, and I finally got my chance! Unfortunately, it was outrageously hot, so we only hit one alley spot before having to stop for smoothies.

Isn’t Janet so pretty?!

The above image is one of my favorites from the evening. We found this wall that had “peace” written on it with little peace sign hands stenciled around it. So cool! This particular shot was actually taken by my assistant du jour and good friend from college Kristen. She’s an incredible painter; check out her site! She traded in her paintbrush for my old camera for the day. I think she’s a natural! :)

They’re like, are you really making us do this??

At one point, Kevin and Janet had some fun of their own with the camera. This was the result:

Here’s Kristen again capturing some behind the scenes action:

The following is what happens when I take extreme liberties with Photoshop. Sometimes you just have to get it all out of your system, you know?

Thanks for coming to Lawrence, braving the heat, and taking us to dinner guys!

I got really excited when Jennifer told me it was okay to post a few bridal images! Waiting until after the wedding takes such patience and restraint. You might remember Jennifer from her engagement shoot a few months ago. We did a quick bridal shoot a few weeks ago, also on OU’s campus at 8:00 am! How brave is she?

This one makes me want to sing the Kelly “Shoes” song! (Look for “Kelly shoes” on YouTube if you’ve never seen it…warning: there is one random profanity moment). These shoes rule!

This past weekend, Mark and I traveled to Norman for Jen and Mark’s wedding. It was a hot, humid day, but the wedding was fun and gorgeous anyway! Jen and I were in sorority together in college, and it was so great to see so many people from school.
Congratulations guys, and I hope you are having a blast in Mexico right now!
