It’s cold

Winter in Kansas is rough. The worst part of it for me (aside from the bitter, miserable cold)? No light; no prettiness. I haven’t been taking nearly as many photos just for myself as I normally do. So the other day, I decided to walk around outside my apartment and see what I could see. And let me tell you, the scenery around our apartment is pretty drab. It’s construction and dead trees every way you look! I felt like the barrenness and industrial-ness of my surroundings influenced what I saw and how I photographed it. I actually ended up having more fun and being more inspired than I expected. There just might be a part two on its way.

It’s always fun to shoot stuff you don’t normally shoot…which I love these by the way! You totally used the harsh light to make these pictures so much more interesting!
