It all started in an ordinary journalism class at an ordinary university in Kansas. A boy and a girl became friends, and though they didn’t know it at the time, their lives would never be the same again. Their paths crossed again two years later while out with friends, and a glass of wine at Bambino’s marked the beginning of a great friendship.
Their friendship grew as time went on. She adored his warm and sincere heart; her laugh made him smile. And so they fell in love.
Taylor and Jacob are no ordinary couple, and their wedding day was a brilliant reflection of that fact. Appropriately enough, they began the rest of their lives right there where it all started in Lawrence, KS at The University of Kansas.

The amazing ladies at Hair Experts created some of the prettiest hairstyles I’ve ever seen.

Meanwhile…the guys decided to have some fun at the bowling alley.

I love LOVE when couples choose to see each other before the wedding! It’s always one of the happiest, most memorable moments of the day.

While Lawrence has no shortage of beautiful wedding venues,
Danforth Chapel on the University of Kansas campus is one of my favorites. Its size was just perfect for Taylor and Jacob’s intimate, emotional ceremony.

The Eldridge is the perfect place for a wedding reception in Lawrence. The staff there takes very good care of everyone, and the building is just gorgeous!

Taylor and Jacob opted for wedding ice cream instead of cake. I can vouch for Taylor’s reaction; it was good!

Why yes, that IS the entire wedding party indulging in a tribute to the awesomeness that is KU. It’s more common than you’d think; I’ve shot three weddings in the past year that had the alma mater and Rock Chalk played at the reception!

Oh, and one last photo for this post… Yup, that is definitely Sherron Collins’ signature on their wedding program! You’ll have to ask Taylor and Jacob about this one. It’s a good story.
