Canvas collages are FUN!

…so you should probably get yourself one! We custom design all of our canvas and wall print collages; the design possibilities are endless! I made this one for the adorable Paxton and his one year shoot. It’s 20×20, and I just love how big it is!

Shooting in the country with Lisa

First of all, let me introduce Lisa! Lisa is a super-sweet girl that I’ve had the privilege to become friends with since I’ve lived in Wichita. She also happens to be an incredible photographer herself! She even made ME look good when I took my turn in front of the camera! After some scouting, we settled in for a while at a random shed on my dad’s property. The shed is one of the same places that I photographed back in college. This place needs no staging; so many random walls and areas were just perfect as is! For instance, the old machinery belt thing on the wall behind Lisa here? It was just there. How does that even happen?? Add a little bit of light and we were in business.

We wanted to end the day in one of these canola fields, but we were really sad that we didn’t have strong enough sunlight for a glowy backlit look. Wanna know why? It was SO windy that day that the dust in the atmosphere made the sky hazy! Yes, we’re the kind of crazies that think it’s a good idea to go shooting in the country on the windiest day of the year.
